Yann Sommer GK – M'gladbach - 87 -> 88 Rated: Borussia Mönchengladbach and Mainz 05 both edged another step closer to safety on Sunday as goals from Breel Embolo and Karim Onisiwo cancelled each other out, resulting in a 1-1 draw between both sides. Mainz could have easily won that game in the second half if it wasn't for Yann Sommer who made a total of nine saves to save his side a point.

Iago LB – FC Augsburg - 81 -> 84 Rated: Starting the day just one and six points clear of the drop respectively, Augsburg and Wolfsburg met in a game that could have a dramatic impact on the relegation battle and at the end Augsburg recorded a resounding 3-0 win over fellow relegation strugglers Wolfsburg on Sunday. One of the goals came from Iago who wasn't named MOTM but with him being voted in Kicker's TOTW and being already 81 rated thanks to his first inform I'm happy to include him.

M. Skriniar CB – Inter - 86 -> 87 Rated: Inter Milan rekindled their Serie A title hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening in one of the most chaotic Derby d'Italia's. Skriniar was far from his very best but it was still a splendid defensive display from he former Sampdoria man who marshalled the backline in the absence of Stefan de Vrij. Made a vital stop inside the six-yard box from a Morata effort in the first half and won the vast majority of the physical duels against Vlahovic.

Emerson RWB – Spurs - 79 -> 84 Rated*: Tottenham came from a goal behind to breeze past Newcastle 5-1 at home on Sunday to leapfrog Arsenal into fourth place in the Premier League. Both, Emerson and Doherty are looking like strong candidates for an inform and I'm going with Emerson who scored one and due to the lack of higher rated defenders this week he's also my FTOTW.

Pedri CM – FC Barcelona - 84 -> 86 Rated: In a tight and tense night of football, Barcelona beat Sevilla 1-0 to climb to second in La Liga, the win makes it six victories in a row for Xavi's men as they sit second for the first time in a year. Pedri was utterly ridiculous from start to finish. Ran the game with veteran serenity, pinging the ball around the pitch like he was a storied veteran on a farewell tour. Of course the best moment of the match belonged to him as he won the game with a goal of the utmost beauty, sitting down not one but two Sevilla players with unreal body feints before lasering it through about four more and into the back of the net from the edge of the box.

K. Laimer CDM – RB Leipzig - 81 -> 84 Rated: Borussia Dortmund slumped to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of RB Leipzig on Saturday which was a shambolic performance from a Dortmund side playing at the packed Westfalenstadion for the first time in over two years. The Austrian midfielder had an absolutely tremendous game as he scored twice in the first half and had a commanding performance in the midfield also assisting one. Kicker awarded him with MOTM and POTW and thus he should pick up the inform.

Milinkovic-Savic CM – Latium - 87 -> 88 Rated: Lazio Roma went back on winning ways after their derby loss to Roma before the international break with a narrow 2-1 victory over an in-form Sassuolo side. Milinkovic-Savic once again was crucial for Lazio, scoring the all-important second goal for his side to make sure they'll keep the 3 points in their for the fifth place against city rivals Roma.

Juanmi LM – Real Betis - 81 -> 84 Rated: Real Betis got the advantage of their city rivals loss against Barcelona on Sunday evening as they won their fixture against Osasuna prior to the clash between Barcelona and Sevilla with 4-1. Fekir usually is the big names when talking about Betis but the one who's leading the attacking line this season is Juanmi. Once again the midfielder stood out with 2 goals and 2 assists and took his league tally to now 14 goals.

Sterling RW – Manchester City - 90 -> 91 Rated: Manchester City cruised to a 2-0 win at Burnley's Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon, returning to the top of the Premier League table in a performance aided by an early lead. Sterling was City's most threatening forward and set up both of their goals. Burnley had no answer to his movement or pace, the only down in his game was when he failed to hit the target from Foden's aerial ball which left him 1v1 vs Pope.

J. Felix ST – Atletico de Madrid - 85 -> 86 Rated: Athletio Madrid recorded three important points in their challenge of finishing top four in La Liga with a convincing 4-1 at home against Deportivo Alaves. The Portuguese international Joao Felix scored the opener for his side and strucked again late 10 minutes before the final whistle to help his side securing all three points. He nearly got an assist as well and Los Rojiblancos might be thankful that Felix is in an insane form in recent weeks.

K. Mbappé ST – Paris SG - 93 -> 94 Rated: Paris SG were aiming to return to winning ways after their 3-0 thumping away to AS Monaco in their last game before the international break. They found relegation-threatened Lorient to be obliging opponents, although as usual it is tempting to wonder how things would have turned out had Mbappé not been there. The Frenchman finished the game with two goals and three assists to his name in PSG's 5-1 victory and with a 9 match rating I honestly would be shocked if he's not in. Only reason he could miss out is his recent POTM and TOTS around the corner, if it really happens Neymar would be the next best option.

F. Muslera GK – Galatasaray - 81 -> 84 Rated: Galatasaray went back on winning ways in the Turkish Süper Lig after two defeats before the international break with a 2-0 victory over Fatih Karagumruk, extending their gap to the relegation zone (yeah, sounds crazy) to now 11 points. Galatasaray once again had to rely on their sho-stopper Muslera who made a total of seven saves and also managed to save a penalty.

A. Djiku CB – Strasbourg - 76 -> 81 Rated: A Ludovic Ajorque penalty was enough to give Strasbourg a 1-0 win over Lens on Sunday to take Julien Stephan's men into fourth place in the Ligue 1 Uber Eats table. Overall there are not a lot of standout performers from the weekend but L'Equipe usually is a reliable source for gold defenders and thus I'm including Djiku who kept a clean sheet and picked up a 7 match rating from L'Equipe.

Jonny RWB – Wolves - 80 -> 83 Rated: Wolverhampton reigned supreme as kings of the West Midlands by beating Aston Villa 2-1 at Molineux. After 18 months of injury hell, Jonny has rediscovered his top form in double quick time. The Spaniard got the ball rolling with a top finish to make it 1-0 and was very solid going booth ways.

K. Grosicki LM– Pogon Szczecin - 78 -> 82 Rated: In what actually is a title fight between three sides in the Polish Ekstraklasa, Pogon managed to handle the pressure and took all three points with a comfortable 4-0 victory away at Gornik Leczna, sitting top of the table with just one point ahead of Lech and Rakow. Kamil Grosicki was one of the reasons Pogon was successful as he scored one and assisted another and could pick up his second inform this week.

Skov Olsen RM – Club Brugge - 79 -> 82 Rated: Club Bruges kept pace with league leaders Union St. Gilloise after their comfortable 3-1 victory away at Beerschot with one matchday left before the Champions Round starts. Andreas Skov Olsen, who joined the club in January from Bologna, assisted twice in that game and could pick up his second IF after he got his first technically when he got his silver star at Bologna.

Morales ST – Levante UD - 81 -> 84 Rated: Levante regained a little bit of hope to avoid relegation after their 2-0 against Villareal on Saturday and it was once again thanks to Luis Morales who scored twice to seal all three points for his side.

Onuachu ST – KRC Genk - 82 -> 84 Rated: There have been a lot of hat-tricks this week, most of them coming from silver players. The only one from a gold one comes from Onuachu who scored three times in his side's 5-0 victory over Eupen on Sunday. Only doubts about his inclusion are that two of his goals have been from the penalty spot and thus he could get ignored by EA.

Janelt CDM – Brentford - 73 -> 79 Rated: An incredible second-half performance saw Brentford come from behind to stun Chelsea 4-1 with Christian Eriksen among the scorers. It was a fantastic afternoon for the midfielder. The German produced two great goals – the first a searing strike past Mendy, the second a calm finish from an angle. Involved in virtually every Bees move, pressing forward, with the team clinically taking their chances on the day.

Tveter ST – Sandefjord - 62 -> 72 Rated: There have once again been an insane amount of hat-tricks from silver players this week and apart from 1 or 2 players it's more like a dice roll who gets in or not. Same goes to Ruud Tveter who scored three times in Sandefjord's 3-1 win against Haugesund on Sunday.

Beto ST – Udinese - 74 -> 80 Rated: Udinese Calcio might have secured another season of top-flight football with a trashing 5-1 agains Cagliari and put even more pressure on their opponents. Star of the show was the Portuguese attacker Beto who scored three of the five goals for his side and picked up an 8 and POTW from Gazzetta.

T. Boyd ST – Kaiserslautern - 68 -> 76 Rated: The Red Devils defeated MSV Duisburg 5-1 in the traditional duel between two ex-Bundesliga teams in front of an atmospheric backdrop and made a huge statement in the promotion race. Terrence Boyd will definetly pick up the inform this week after he scored three times and took his league tally to now 14 goals.

A. Jeremejeff ST – BK Häcken - 66 -> 75 Rated: The Swedish football league started for the new season and we should see the first inform coming on Wednesday. BK Häcken recorded a 4-2 win at home against AIK and former Dynamo Dresden player Jeremejeff was involved in all four goals, scoring three and assisting the other.
